[日常英語]stick around
🤖stick aroundは「(その場を離れずに)待ち続ける、しばらくその場にとどまる」という非常に一般的なフレーズです。
📕主な意味:
・(何かを待つために)その場にとどまる、待機する
例文:”Stick around, something interesting is about to happen.”「ここにいてよ、面白いことが始まるから」
・(その場を去らずに)もう少し長くいる、居残る
例文:”Can you stick around for a few minutes?”「ちょっと数分間、待っていてくれる?」
👉「何かが起こるまでちょっと待つ」或いは「ちょっとのんびりしてから離れる」くらいの感覚
