[類義語]「…に応じて」in response to something,depending on something
👨in response to somethingもdepending on somethingも「…に応じて」と訳せるが、使い方は違う。
in response to の方は何かが起こった時の反応を表す文であるので「に呼応して、に反応して」の方が自然な訳。
depending onはonに続く事柄によって状況が変わるようなときに使う。例えば年齢に応じて入園料が変わる場合はdepending on age。
