[文法]名詞の数量の表現
👨可算名詞、不可算名詞に気を付けて会話をしてないと、いつの間にか変な癖がついてしまいます。
不可算名詞にｓをつけないぞ！という意識を持つのは基本として、下記のようなこともいつも気を付けておいた方がよいですね。
📑下の表は可算名詞、不可算名詞、可算及び不可算名詞両方に使える数の基本的な表現です。

📑基本的にnumber of+可算名詞、amount of +不可算名詞、few+可算名詞、little+不可算名詞

- The number of typhoons has increased.「台風の数が増えた」
- Car manufacturers need to sell a large number of cars this quarter.「カーメーカーはこのクオーターで沢山の車を売る必要がある」
- I have to buy many cabinets.「沢山の棚を買わなきゃ」
- It was going well up until a few months ago.「数か月前まで、それは順調だった」
- Several members of the congregation come and worship in the church every Sunday.「会衆の何人かは毎日曜日に礼拝のために教会に来る」
- I can’t imagine the amount of work I have in my future.「将来の仕事量は想像できません」💡amountは「量」を表すとき不可算名詞に使われる
- They started the production of a great deal of merchandise.「彼らは沢山の商品の製造を開始した」
- I will literally die from doing too much homework.「宿題のやりすぎでマジ死ぬよ」

- He was injured after falling asleep behind the wheel after getting little rest.「彼はほとんど休めず居眠り運転でけがをした」💡behind the wheelのwheelとは車のハンドルのことなので「運転席」💡aが無いので否定のlittle
- It costs someone a lot of money to do「何かをするのに沢山お金がかかる」💡a lot ofは可算名詞、不可算名詞両方に使える。
- I have plenty of money with me.「沢山お金持ってきたよ」💡a lot ofは可算名詞、不可算名詞両方に使える。
