👨今回のコロナウィルス対策で、アメリカなど「10人以上のグループで集まらないでください」と呼びかけていますが、
これを会話で説明しようとすると、なかなかさらりとは言えなくて、今回の投稿になります。
[10人以上(のグループ)での集まり]と言いたい時の表現方法
- a gathering in a group of 10 or more people💡in a group「グループで」💡in a group of…「…のグループで」
- a group gathering with 10 or more people
下の表にまとめます。左右の意味はほぼ同じで「…のグループでの集まり」です。

上記のようにgatheringという名詞を使うとき動詞はhaveを使い、
- have a gathering with 10 or more people ※前置詞withはofに置き換え可能
- have a gathering in a group of 10 or more people
- have a group gathering with 10 or more people※前置詞withはofに置き換え可能
のように表現します。
また、自動詞のgatherを使って「10人以上(のグループ)で集まる」というときは
- gather in a group of 10 or more people
- gather with 10 or more people
また、「10人の会議の開催」と言いたい時の動詞はholdを使いますね。
- hold a conference with ten people
