it would be great (help) if you could…「…してくれたら助かります」 のような定番的な言い方

😏it would be great if you couldまで一気に言うのは日本人的に舌を噛みそうなのですが、頑張って練習しましょう。

📌couldはwouldをつかってもあまり言いたいことは変わりませんが、本来couldは「能力」に関して、またwouldは「意志」に関して言っています（尋ねています）。

📖例文

• It would be great if you could give us a quick explanation. 「簡単な説明をいただけると嬉しいです」
• It would be great if you could explain how you plan to use our hall in case you decide to rent it.「我々のホールを借りる場合、どのようにお使いになるのかを説明いただけるとありがたいです」
• It would be great if you could give me a ride to a convenient station when you drive to work tomorrow morning.「明日の朝、あなたが車で会社に行くときに、降ろしやすい駅まで私を乗せていってくれるとありがたいのですが」

😏「…かと思いまして」I’d like you to doのもっとへりくだった言い方でI was wondering if you would(could)

📖例文

• I was wondering if you would be able to check our reports in the afternoon.「午後にレポートをチェックしていただけるかと思いまして」
• I was wondering if you could explain your report.「レポートについて説明してもらえるかと思いまして」
• I was wondering if you could look after my dog this weekend.「今度の土日に犬を預かってくれるかと思いまして」
• I was wondering if you could check on my elderly mother since I haven’t been able to reach her since this morning.「年老いた母と朝から連絡が付かないので、様子を見に行ってくれるかと思いまして」💡check on…「…の様子を見る/の確認をする」
